Communication from the time I made the appointment until I picked up my car was excellent. Received a video from the mechanic detailing my service and showing me the undercarriage of my vehicle. The pricing was very reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend Bret’s in Gardner.

Dropped the fuel tank and changed the exhaust manifold gasket they were awesome Mark kept me updated and was very professional i will recommend them to everyone.

Very thorough and communicates issue very well. Team is knowledgeable and found the actual problem, and they saved me tons of money versus the dealership and other locations. The video updates they provide customers are very helpful and effective. I highly recommend. Customer service is top notch. I’d give them 6 stars right now if I could.
I was from out of town and my son-in-law noticed a transmission leak in which It immediately had it checked out at Bret's Autoworkers, in Gardner KS. The service was Fantastic from the time I stepped into the office until the job was completed! I loved the video of the walk around inspection that was sent showing not only the leaky transmission but the condition of the tires. The way in which the mechanic explained what I was seeing was very easy to follow and understand! With already a busy schedule my vehicle was taken care of in a very timely manner and I'm Greatful for such wonderful service 🙏🙌💖 kudos to the entire team.... Thank You Very Much ❣️
The same almost everyone else has been saying: Very friendly staff, prompt work, and phenomenally clear video inspection with the oil change. Bret's carries a good reputation for a reason.

I really liked the video inspection and the way the tech covered all his findings. The staff seemed very professional although I never had a face to face due to my schedule. The only issue I have is the pricing. I understand you get what you pay for but the labor rate is significantly greater than nearby establishments. I was charged 300$ for a diagnostic which only established a repair they needed to do to FINISH diagnosing my problem. Which by the way was for 1500 dollars including the diagnostic. The part they had priced out for 800 dollars was available from autozone for 250. I understand markup and that they need to make money. But it seems a bit excessive

During this time of reopening after the threat of the COVID-19 virus, we will be unlocking the front door and opening the lobby for service at the counter.
Touchless Drop off and pickup: For your safety, as well as ours, we will continue to encourage drop off service. Please answer the questions on the provided envelope regarding your vehicle, put your keys inside the envelope, then drop the envelope in the key drop box. Feel free to call the shop with any questions, or to further explain what you want done. Once your vehicle is inspected, we will contact you by phone to discuss any service or maintenance your vehicle needs. Payment will also be by phone once services are complete. When you are coming to pick up your vehicle, call the shop and we will leave your keys and receipt inside your vehicle.
Dropping off your car: Our lobby doors will be unlocked, and we welcome you at our counters. If you come into the lobby, we will talk with you at the counter, take your keys, sanitize them and get your vehicle ready for service. For your safety, as well as ours, you will notice we have installed a plexiglass barrier. You may also see us wear latex gloves or masks and we will keep our distance as best we can.
Waiting on Vehicle: During Phase 1 we discourage waiting on your vehicle, however if you need to, please do not bring anyone with you, as our waiting rooms are small and the 6 foot distancing will need to be adhered to.
Pickup Service: Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer rides to work or home, but we will gladly pickup and drop off your car at no additional charge, if local to Olathe or Gardner. Once your vehicle is inspected, we will contact you by phone to discuss any service or maintenance your vehicle needs. Payment will also be by phone once the services are complete. When we return your vehicle, we will call or text you and leave the key and receipt inside the vehicle.
Either way, be assured that your car will be sanitized before returning it to you!
