Automotive AC Service & Repair
If you drive a car with malfunctioning A/C, summer in the Kansas City area will be an uncomfortable and sweaty ride! Our ASE & EPA technicians at Bret’s Autoworks are highly trained and use environmentally safe procedures and equipment to service and repair your A/C, keeping you cool and comfortable in your vehicle.
The main function of the air conditioner in your car is to cool the air that is coming into your passenger compartment using three main parts: the condenser, the evaporator and the compressor.
Our AC Service & Repair Process:
When you bring your vehicle to Bret’s Autoworks with an AC issue, our service advisors will discuss the faulty A/C system symptoms with you. Then, our certified technicians will visually inspect the air conditioning compressor drive belt and all other accessible components for damage, leaks or cracks. They will inspect the air conditioning compressor's operation and use an electronic leak detector to locate possible leaks. They will recover air conditioning refrigerant from the system, weigh and compare to system capacity and vacuum test for leaks, recharge the system with the correct amount of refrigerant, and add dye for future leak identification. Lastly, they will perform a final test to check for system performance.
Detecting damage or leaks to the A/C system of your vehicle sooner rather than later can save you both time and money - plus, protect the environment! Be cool and worry-free. Call Bret’s Autoworks at (913) 856-5169 to schedule an appointment today!
