My husband and I have had a lot of car issues the last year or so. We have an aging Toyota and Honda- Bret's replaced the steering column in the Honda, the starter in the Toyota, gave us a price quote on replacing the transmission on the Honda, and most recently replaced the bearings on the Toyota's front wheels. They may be a bit higher price wise than some other local places, but they are extremely dependable and they didn't charge us labor costs for replacing the front brake pads the last time we took the Toyota in. It's now time for at least one new car... I can say I will most likely bring it to Bret's for servicing.

Great prices. Great people and great service. What more can you ask for. They do better than dealer quality work for an affordable cost.

I will take my vehicle back to Bret's the next time it needs any service completed!I contacted Bret's based off the recommendation of co-workers who said they had pleasant experiences here. Called and explained the issue I was having with my vehicle and was quoted a price with tax. Although the price was the same as another shop I contacted and had used previously, I went with Bret's since I work in Gardner so it would be more convenient for me. Dropped my car off and was given a ride to work. A few hours later, the owner of Bret's contacted me to explain, in detail, the services that had been completed along with possible recommendations. The price paid was less expensive than expected. Bret's could have told me they did additional work as I gave them the authorization to do a certain amount of $ worth of services before contacting me, but they didn't get close to that amount even. They then came and picked me up.I told my husband I would absolutely take my car back if there are any other issues. As a woman, it is nice to have someone explain everything to me and not sound as though they are talking down to me. Their honesty was refreshing in this industry. I would recommend Bret's to my co-workers and friends anytime!

It is hard to find an honest auto repair shop that won't gouge you like the dealerships. if you want dealership quality work at half the price, contact Tracy to get started. I have taken two vehicles there that have been screwed up by other auto repair shops. Thanks!I will be back.

Fantastic place for great, fast service. We've taken all our vehicles here for minor or major repairs. Knowledgeable and friendly staff and fair prices. They bend over backwards to provide good service again and again. Thanks Brett, Don, and the others that make this place so great!!

I recently purchased an old 'beater' 3/4 ton van for my small business and needed it to be looked over. (I used to pay the rent with my toolbox on flat rate, but I just don't have the time or inclination to work on this big beast myself.)I spoke with Don at the Gardner location and he said he'd be able to work me in on the same day if I could leave it. I dropped it off mid-morning and had a call later in the day when it was finished. Don gave me a full rundown on what it needed and the costs for additional repairs that were needed. I paid a decent rate for the belt change and the tire work that I requested and was on my way.The waiting room and the shop were clean. I was treated well and will be back with this and my other vehicles.

Had my car worked on recently by this shop in Gardner. Very clean shop and waiting area. Our vehicle came in for an oil change and when they were performing their inspection they told me my car needed brakes. Don there service manager brought me out to show me my brakes and gave me the price of the repair. One of the mechanics gave me a ride home while they repaired my car. I am very pleased with the service they provided for me and I will be sure to go back to them again for all my other repair needs.

I have been going to Bretts and working with Leo on my cars and find him to be very honest and trustworthy. My trucks always run great when he finishes and I couldnt be more pleased. I couldnt help but read some of the reviews and I find it funny that a couple people seem to think that these guys can do something for nothing! Its a business! They do great work for a fair price. Brian seems to think he can buy a part from some other place, tell them how to fix it and then get it for free, try running a business like that Brian! Sorry, I just get irritated by some guy ripping on someone for no good reason.
