Bret's Autoworks, Gardner location opened in 2008 by Shawn Fischer and Leo Murry. Shawn was serving as the general manager and owner of Bret's Autoworks in Olathe when he met Leo. Leo filled a technician position in 2001 and became fast friends.

 

 

Treating You, Like Family

Both Shawn and Leo live in the Gardner area. Like Bret, both men started working for auto repair shops during high school. Shawn graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration. Leo has been employed in the auto repair industry since their high school days and is an ASE-certified master technician. Honesty, personal integrity, and faith are all key to everything at Bret's Autoworks.

 

Today, Bret's Autoworks in Gardner has grown to a staff of 2 ASE-certified master technicians, two service advisors, and one full-time lube technician. The experts at Bret's Autoworks are industry-recognized for their superior skills and service. We hire the best technicians to fix your car right the first time.

Jeff Sapp listened and understood what my automotive concerns were. The video with audio review of my vehicle was very helpful in understanding what repairs issues needed to be addressed immediately. What I like most about Jeff is he is honest in his assessment of what repairs need priority and NEVER tries to upsale me on anything that is marginally in need of repair. The repairs were done in an expeditious manner with quality work being first and foremost.

Had a critter make a home in the van, and I was able to drop off the keys before hours, get a video inspection of the van, and the actual cost of the repair came in under the estimate quoted over the phone. Always enjoy the service at Bret's!

Took my truck in for an alignment. The pointed out a few issues that would have affected the service and took the time to explain why there was a problem. Repairs were completed quickly. Would definitely use them again.

I have a 2018 Ford Suv that was put putting when changing gears. The master technician was knowledgeable and was able to realize this is a common issue with new ford's that have the double transmission type where they can switch between manual and automatic. Almost everything is automated now a days. He knew that the computer needed to be reset and the transmission fluids flushed and replaced. Now my car is learning how I drive so it knows when to change gears. Since it's still less than 5 years old they made sure to contact Ford and use Ford specific fluids. Cost a bit more but the service and reliability are worth it. Plus they send you a full video showing you what's wrong and what they did to fix it. I don't know any other shop that does that.
